Tom Ford is a noted food safety expert with more than 30 years experience in the food industry. For the past nine years he has hosted a food safety symposium, bringing together food safety leaders of the industry to develop solutions to food safety issues specific to this industry.

Tom has conducted extensive microbiological research for the industry and has published scientific papers on Listeria monocytogenes. He is an original member of the Food Marketing Institutes' Food Protection Committee, he is a three time council member of the Conference for Food Protection, and works closely with the National Restaurant Association. He is a member of the International Association For Food Protection and is a member of that organization's Professional Development Group for Retail Food Safety.

Tom has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a Master of Public Health from Benedictine University and is a Certified Professional for Food Safety.
